The West African Power Industry Convention (WAPIC) Resumes in Lagos


The West African Power Industry Convention (WAPIC) resumes this morning in Lagos where  power professionals from all over Africa have converged.

The  conference and expo will once again gather government, utilities, consultants and investors to discuss the challenges of local markets, capacity building and investment in the power sector.

WAPIC is once again enjoying overwhelming support from the industry with the global networking and telecommunications giant, Huawei, having already confirmed that it is returning as the exclusive diamond sponsor. The Federal Ministry of Power has endorsed the event.

Celebrated Chief Executive Officer of Seplat Petroleum Development Company, Austin Avuru, and Andela co-founder, Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, are some of the high-level experts and industry stalwarts who will address the opening session of the 12th edition of the event.

Other speakers include Eyo Ekpo (former Commissioner, National Energy Regulatory Commission) Olufunke Jones (Country Head, Power and Energy, Ecobank Nigeria) and Robert Dickerman (Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer, Enugu Electricity Distribution Company).
