Nigeria’s Power Generation Rises to 4200MW

The System Operations of the Transition Company of Nigeria (TCN) yesterday said power generation in the country increased to 4200 Megawatts (MW) on Tuesday, The Nation reports.

Assistant General Manager (Public Affairs),  Clement Ezeolisah, in a statement explained that power had dipped to 3,755Mw due to a ruptured gas  pipeline that supplies gas to the power generating stations.

He noted that the electricity market had “experienced a drop to an average of 3,755Mw last week following scheduled maintenance programme on the gas pipelines supplying gas to the generating stations.”
