Ngali Energy to Build Rwandan Hydropower Dam

Ngali Energy, a Rwandan renewable energy firm, is set to construct the 2-MW Ntaruka hydropower dam. The dam, located in the Nyaruguru district, will be connected to the national grid to help power the country.

The hydropower dam project is expected to be completed in 2018.

The company also has a number of other hydropower projects on the drawing board for Rwanda, including the 2.4-MW Ruhondo, the 2.6-MW Ngororero, and the Base One and Base Two which will collectively produce 5.8 MW of power.
