The Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) said it had commenced enumeration and area mapping for deployment of smart meters to customers within its operational area.
The Chief Executive Officer of EKEDC, Mr Oladele Amoda, disclosed this at a town hall meeting with customers in its Apapa Business District, according to a statement released on Friday in Lagos and signed by Mr Godwin Idemudia, the EKEDC General Manager, Corporate Communications.
Amoda, who was represented by Mr Sam Nwaire, the company’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), said the enumeration and area mapping exercise was being carried out in all of the company’s eight business districts. He said that the company was fully committed to its meter roll-out plan which would be undertaken in a phased deployment of smart meters to all unmetered customers throughout the company’s license area.
