Kwara – Assembly Wants 105 Transformers Included in 2017 Budget

Ilorin — The Kwara State Government has been urged to make provision in the 2017 budget for installation of about 105 transformers distributed to communities in the state to ensure widespread electricity.

This is part of resolutions by the House following a matter of general public importance raised by a member representing Kaiama/Wajibe/ Kamanji Constituency – Hon.Ahmed Ibn Mohammed on vandalization of some transformers procured by the state government in 2014 due to non- installation of the transformers.

The Deputy Speaker Elder Matthew Okedare who presided over the sitting, said the state government should make it a matter of priority to include installation of the transformers in 2017 budget to ensure that more communities had access to electricity .
