Some residents of Ibadan have expressed delight over perceived improvement on electricity power supply in the metropolis.
For some areas including Apete, Apata, Challenge, Felele, Ashi, Oluyole, New Garage, Mokola, Elewuro, Akobo, Orogun, Monatan, Oloodo, Mokore, Ona-Ara, electricity power supply has improved compared to what it used to be.
Despite, the noticeable improvement, the residents however noted that there was still room for improvement.
The story is however tales of woe for residents of Alakia- Adegbayi, Wire and Cable, Agbowo and Idiroko as they lamented erratic power supply in their areas.
The people pointed out that lack of adequate supply of electricity could be frustrating.
Two business men who spoke with Radio Nigeria explained that epileptic power supply had been a major hindrance to their businesses.
When contacted, Regional Communication Officer Oyo Region, Ibadan Distribution Company, Mr. Frank Williams said the company was doing its best to ensure equitable power distribution.
Mr. Williams further explained that the IBDC had never been biased with the distribution of power as believed in some quarters.
