The management of Benin Electricity Distribution Company, in a statement released on its official twitter page, has apologized to customers in Warri and its environs over the prolonged power outage being experienced in the areas. According to BEDC the outage was caused by a a faulty transformer at the transmission station.
The Statement:“The The management of BEDC wishes to apologize to its esteemed customer for the prolong outage being experienced in warri, Effurun,PTI, Enerhen and its environs for the past 4days.
It is due to fault T21 transformer at 132 kv Effurun PTI, Enerhen and its environs for the past 4 days. It is due to fault T21 transformer at 132 kv Effurun Transmission station in PTI. The engineers in TCN are working round the clock to restore power . While appealing for the understanding of the affected customers, we wish to assure them that normal supply of electricity will be restored as soon as possible.We apologise for any inconveniences this might have caused you.”
