The Managing Director of Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC), Mr. Chiedu Ugbo, has said the connection of Omotosho power plant to local communities would be completed in September, The Nation reports.
He also said the Oke-Aro to Mowe line is fully energized and currently working with Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company, leading to the successful connection of Magboro, Oke-Afa and MFM communities to the power line. The NDPHC chief said the Okija line would be completed in November.
He spoke at the 18th Monthly Power Sector and stakeholders’ meeting in Kumboso, Kano State. He said vandalization of power installations have been a major problem stalling the firm’s project implementation. He also noted that NDPHC is doing its best to ensure efficient distribution of electricity to the Niger Delta region.
