Power Generation Restored to 3,906MW – TCN

The Transmission Company of Nigeria on Thursday claimed that the country’s power grid, which collapsed to as low as five megawatts on Tuesday, attained 3,906.8MW late on Wednesday, The Punch reports.

It had been reported on Thursday that within a space of about 16 hours, the grid collapsed twice, leaving many parts of the country in total blackout.

The report stated that the first collapse of the country’s power transmission grid occurred on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at about 10.20pm, while the second happened at 2.19pm on Wednesday.
