Speaking on the sideline of the Slovakia national day celebration, the Slovakian ambassador to Nigeria, Peter Holasek has called for collaboration between the Slovakian government and the Federal Government of Nigeria in its energy sector, Leadership reports.
Holasek said his country is ready to collaborate with Nigeria on adequately developing her energy resources. Holesek, who also disclosed that some private sector businessmen from Slovakia have already built power plants in Objan, Ibese and Magboro, all in Nigeria; noted that this collaboration will be between the two governments.
He said Slovakia is among the top five European Union countries as regards the share of renewable energy in transport fuel consumption, which has increased considerably in recent years. He also noted that private investment in transport research and development has increased.
