Indian Firms Set to Explore Vast Opportunities in Nigeria’s Power Sector


Indian utility vendors and services are exploring Africa’s huge market and in particular the West African energy sector, Oriental News reports.

Dr. Rajeev Singh, the Director General and CEO of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) who is representing India as the featured country partner at the upcoming Future Energy Nigeria event, hosting a pavilion of almost 50 suppliers of specialised technology and services for the energy sector, said the country presents huge opportunity in the continent.

He said visitors to the Indian pavilion will be able to “interact and network directly with Indian vendors who have specialized in the energy sector. Visitors can also see the products and services covering generation, transmission & distribution, metering, renewables and new technologies. Visitors can furthermore establish distribution channels.”

Founded in 1925, the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) is the leading and only National Chamber of Commerce operating from Kolkata, and one of the most pro-active and forward-looking chambers in the country today. Its membership spans some of the most prominent and major industrial groups in India.
